History

The Miller Companies are composed of Insurance Consultants of Virginia, Inc. (ICV) founded in 1980, Insurance Brokers of Virginia, Inc. (IBV) founded in 2002, and Miller Advisory Services, Inc. (MAS),  company founded in 2008. Our goal is to match our clients’ needs to the products and services that best suit their situations.

MAS provides fee-based insurance consulting services, while IBV focuses on providing employee benefits to businesses in the area of group and qualified retirement plans. ICV is designed to provide competitive shopping for individual life, disability, and long-term care coverage, for clients who need to purchase insurance products.

We have developed working relationships with some of the top accounting and legal firms throughout the state in assisting our clients develop estate and employee benefit plans to meet their goals. We have worked with third-party administrators in the area.

The President, W. Marshall Miller, II, CLU, ChFC, AEP, LUTCF is a very detail and technically oriented person who is considered a key professional advisor by our clients. Due to his experience in insurance, estate, and employee benefit planning, insurance companies involve Marshall in future product development. The firm has a full time staff of employees who bring to the company many years of experience in the area of insurance and support services. The staff continually strives to stay in the forefront of technological changes they can use to assist our clients.
